How Handy Start Menu Works
After you install Handy Start Menu, it automatically activates. So, what happened to your original “Start” menu, and how does it work now?
The main idea of Handy Start Menu is to make the default menu more convenient and easy to use. Here's how...
Shorter List of Programs

Click the “All programs” link in the “Start” menu and you’ll immediately notice that, instead of a huge list of programs going far below the screen edge, you now have a short category list (“Tools”, “Office”, “Fun and Games”, “Internet” etc.). All your programs were automatically rearranged into corresponding categories, so you could quickly find the one you need and run it.
Running Programs Is Easier

By clicking the name of a desired application in each category you immediately run it. You don’t need to look for the executable shortcut anymore; Handy Start Menu finds it for you and automatically runs it.
Additional Shortcuts Are Hidden

If you want to access secondary shortcuts, click the arrow to the right of program’s name, to open a list with all additional shortcuts available in the program folder.
Note: Handy Start Menu requires Internet access to work 100% effectively. Internet access is needed to obtain information about programs and their categories from our web server, so the program can automatically rearrange them.
Also, in order to keep automatic sorting as accurate as possible, it is recommended that you enable sending data about programs installed on your computer (via Internet to our server). Handy Start Menu will ask you to do this after a while.
